[TOPIC WRITING]"Homework should be scrapped."
Homework existed throughout the history of humans as education evolved. Homework plays an essential part in students' education, but a lot of students hate to have homework. Homework should not be scrapped since it can be helpful to a lot of people.
Homework can help students fully understand the topic in various ways. Homework can help students understand the topic by making students practice more, making it easier for students to remember it better, etc., and this can help them further in tests, assessments, etc. For example, if a student was struggling with how to solve math problems, this student can further practice it with homework.
Homework can be done in class if there's time left. Most classes have time left after the class is finished, and students can choose to do or finish homework during that time. For example, if in math class, the teacher and students finished writing notes, students can choose to solve math problems in homework to have less homework when they get home. It would take a lot of time to finish homework only at home, so students can choose to work on homework in school.
There are not a lot of homework students need to finish. There are different teachers who give a lot of homework, a little homework, no homework, etc. and it depends on which teachers students get, but not a lot of teachers give a ton of homework to students. For example, in my school, most teachers just give no homework, but we need to finish unfinished classwork if we have one. For teachers who give a lot of homework, students can choose to ask teachers about extra time to finish homework if they think they don't have time to finish homework.
Thus, homework should not be scrapped since it can be helpful to a lot of poeple in many ways. For example, homework can help students understand the topic better, there is enough time for students to finish homework in class, there is not a lot of homework to finish, etc. This shows that there is no reason to scrap homework when it can help many students in a lot of ways.
