[TOPIC WRITING]"Compulsory military service is good for society and the country."

 The military plays an essential part in protecting the country. Each country has a different system of the military, some countries apply compulsory military service and some countries apply voluntary military service. I believe compulsory military service is not good for society and the country because of freedom, economy, need, etc.

Firstly, I believe a compulsory military system is not good for society and the country because of freedom of choice. The United States is built based on the freedom of people, but it would not be considered freedom if citizens need to serve in the military services. For example, if the US applies a compulsory military system, citizens will be forced to serve in the military whether they want to or not. This shows compulsory service would not be good for the country since the US is built on freedom.

Secondly, I believe a compulsory military system is not good for society and the country because of the economy. A lot of people in their 20s will serve military and when they come back from the military, not a lot of them would be able to find a job which will create a problem. For example, if a lot of young people do not have jobs, events like the Great Depression could happen again since there is not enough job for all people. This shows that compulsory military service could cause problems in the economy of the country.

Lastly, I believe a compulsory military system is not good for society and the country because of the need for a lot of citizens in the military. The US participates in the wars of other countries a lot, but it is not their main war. The US does not really need a lot of soldiers in its military, so there is really no point in forcing young citizens to serve in the army. For example, the US already handled a lot of wars pretty well without applying a compulsory military system. This shows that there is actually no point in forcing citizens to serve in the military.

Thus, I believe a compulsory military system is not good for society and the country because of many reasons. For example, freedom of choice, economy, and the need for a lot of citizens in the military. This shows that a compulsory military system is not good for society and the country.

 What do you think about garbage disposal? Then, do you think garbage disposal should not be free to encourage recycling (example: Switzerland)? I think many poeple already recycle things that they want to use again, so I think there is no need to make garbage disposal not become free to encourage people to recycle things. People need to dispose of their garbage anyway, and there are things that you can't recycle. So, it might not be fair to people who recycle a lot of things and need to dispose of non-recyclable garbage. And some people might try to dispose of their garbage in trash cans in public places to avoid paying for the disposal of garbage. Then, there will be tons of garbage in public trash cans, and it will be bad for people who own buildings that have public trash cans since they would need to pay money in order to dispose of other people's garbage.
