Some marine animals eat single-use plastics in the ocean and get sick or die. And it is very dangerous to marine animals, and marine animals' populations will decrease. Then it will lead to a lot of bad events for the world and other animals. I think we can kind of save the ocean from further pollution because most things that pollute the ocean are plastic bags or other single-use plastics. So, if we ban single-use plastic, there will be less trashes that flow to the ocean. Then less marine animals will get sick or die by eating single-use plastics and other trashes. But there will be people who will keep using single-use plastics even though it is banned, and there is also other trash that will flow to the ocean. And even though, we ban single-use plastics, there can be other replacements that will go to the ocean. Also, many countries would not ban single-use plastics, because if they ban single-use plastics, then there needs to be a replacement, and it will need a lot of money to find and make a replacement of single-use plastics. Single-use plastics only just pollute the oceans, other trash pollutes the oceans, too. Then just banning single-use plastics won't save oceans from further pollution, and some people will say that if banning single-use plastics doesn't save oceans from further pollution, why should we ban single-use plastics? So, there will be a lot of problems when we ban single-use plastics, but it will reduce the amount of trashes that pollutes the oceans. There are advantages and disadvantages to banning single-use plastics, and I'm sure we will going to find a better solution for saving oceans from further pollution.
