 A lot of things have become useless now because of the evolution of technology. The evolution of technology can be good in some ways, but it can also be bad in some ways. I believe students should learn cursive even though the technology is making it irrelevant because of freedom, preservation, efficiency, etc.

Firstly, I believe students should learn cursive even though technology is making it irrelevant because of the freedom of students. Some students might not want to use cursive to write, but some might want to, but if the school does not teach students how to write cursive, they would most likely not know how to write in cursive. For example, some students might not have the resources to learn cursive on their own, and if the school does not teach them, they would not know how to write cursive. This shows that if the school teaches cursive to students, students will have the freedom to keep practicing it or not.

Secondly, I believe students should learn cursive even though the technology is making it irrelevant because of the preservation of cursive. If no students learn cursive and no school teaches them, after students became adults, almost no one in that era will be able to write in cursive except a few. For example, only ones who learned from their parents or with videos or articles would have learned how to write them and others will not know how. This shows that it would be important to preserve cursive because of many reasons.

Lastly, I believe students should learn cursive even though technology is making it irrelevant because of the efficiency of writing in cursive. Writing in cursive is way faster than writing without using cursive. For example, cursive is all connected, so it takes less time to write since you do not take writing utensils off the paper often as you write without cursive. This shows that cursive is really efficient and there aren't really no reasons that would make it useless.

Thus, I believe students should learn cursive even though technology is making it irrelevant because of many reasons. For example, the freedom of students, the preservation of cursive, the efficiency of cursive, etc. This shows that writing in cursive is important in many ways.
